THE PROFIT KLAXXON SOUNDED THE ALARM,

and, so, Gorillas began to make their own foods and drinks. I helped to make those products palatable.

After one year working as Creative Lead on these, we had six new brand worlds and launch campaigns (sometimes made by a partner agency, and not featured here). From the name and branding concept, to unique packaging and social suites, I helped these little birds fly. Here’s three of my flock:

HOT DAMN!

Feel-good breakfast bits with character.

Legally registered with an exclamation mark, the entire brand is about the moment your breakfast coffee hits the spot. But the main thing you need to know is that I keep seeing people in Berlin wearing the Hot Damn! t-shirt we designed. People paid €25 for the tee, selling it out in two weeks. The brand launched with an campaign concepted and directed by myself.

<START-UP BEER>

The first beer brand designed for the small screen.

Gorillas is a tech start-up, brewing beer. So <start-up beer> became the name. Pairing self-reference and near-anti-design with bavarian brewing, the 330ml-sized beers couldn't be stocked fast enough for months after launch.

GORILLAS Daily

Who says pesto is a bad medium for short stories?

I named and concepted Gorillas Daily after being inspired by the rolling the dumpster fire of absurdity that is tabloid media, and the desire to make everyday product packaging fun. Queue 43 separate SKUs with unique short stories and jokes, due by Monday.
